Electricity Crisis in Pakistan
ELECTRICITY CRISIS IN PAKISTAN
“if I had not bowed to American demands, they threatened to send us back to stone age”, President Musharaf gave this logic for his unconditional support to America in her war against terror. But the fact is that there is no need for any external force to send us to dark ages because we, ourselves, are enough to do so.
We are as a nation now living in dark ages due to electricity crisis in our country, courtesy our planers, leaders. Electricity crisis or Load Shedding has now become an essential part of our daily life; no matter it is winter when it is believed that electricity consumption is far less than in summer. What are the reasons behind? Is there a genuine gap between our capacity to generate electricity and its demand or there is some sort of external conspiracy to shatter our economy? I tried to evaluate. Now you all be the judge to discern the myth behind this electricity crisis in Pakistan .
Electricity produced in Pakistan is from three main sources.
1. Hydropower
2. Thermal (Gas/Steam/Furnace Oil)
3. Nuclear

Hydro Electricity generated by WAPDA varies between two extremities i.e. between minimum of 2414 MW and maximum of 6761 MW depending upon the river flow through the whole year.
Total Power Generation Capacity ofPakistan (including all sources) is 19855 MW and the electricity demand is 14500 MW and PEPCO is merely generating 10000 MW.
So it is obvious that these 15-20 hrs power shutdowns in most parts of the country are not because of the lack of generation capacity but some other mystery is behind for which the nation has not been taken into confidence.

I don’t doubt the loyalty or sincerity of our leaders, technocrats then why nation is not being provided with such a basic necessity, industry almost crippled unemployment on rise.
My apprehension is this could be IMF / World Bank policies imposed on our nation as we are depending upon their funding. The reason backing my this argument is that Power Generation Companies are not buying Furnace Oil from PSO by saying they don’t have money to do that but we all are paying for Electricity that is generated from Furnace Oil and therefore the top refineries like PRL are operating at 40% capacities.
IMF / World bank has imposed restriction to import less crude oil to reduce deficit. They have right to do so because we are borrowing huge money from them and they have to secure the return of their loans as done by every money lender. But the dilemma is that where that borrowed money is being spent. If we are having genuine crisis in generating power according to our need then have we invested borrowed money in enhancing our power generating capacity during last six or seven years of this crisis. This justifies my logic that there is no problem in our capacity to generate electricity; it is due to imposed policies of our money lenders.
this is the time now for our leaders and policy makers to wake up and think for poor nation, the nation who always stand behind its leaders in the time of crisis and give sacrifice. Electricity is now @ Rs. 11 per unit and I believe it will increase after every two months as directed by money lenders. Why don’t our rulers accept offers fromChina or Iran who are willing to provide us electricity at cheap rates?

Protect Your Cell Phone to Protect Yourself
Never Ever Give Your Cell Phone to Anyone for Making a Small Call
Dear All,
Recently a friend of mine went to visit a patient in a Govt Hospital in Islamabad. A crying person who seemed distressed approached him. He told him that he had an emergency patient and wanted to make a call but had no balance in his cell. He pleaded him to let him make a local call. My friend felt pity on him and gave him his cell phone. The stranger went a few paces away and made a call. He came back thanked my friend and returned his cell phone.
Same day in the evening Islamabad Police arrested my friend. It was then revealed that stranger had made a ransom call for release of some person whom he had abducted. My friend is an industrialist himself, owner of a few factories and petrol pumps. He is well placed in the higher circles of Islamabad. He remained in the lock up for a fortnight and has now been released on bail.
Please watch out for your own safety and do not let any one have an access to your phones.
KINDLY DO A FAVOUR TO ALL YOUR NEAR AND DEAR ONES AND FORWARD THIS TO ALL.
Have a safe day.
Best Regards.

MOTHER...We shall always miss you
MOTHER…. WE SHALL ALWAYS MISS YOU
The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother never. A mother is something absolutely new. The heart of a mother is deep abyss at the bottom of which you will find forgiveness.
My memories of motherly love, affection, care, sacrifice and protection spread over fourty eight years. I was the most difficult child for her to bring up. My childhood was full of serious illnesses. I made her sleepless for years; she could carry me from one doctor to another, from one spiritual healer to another. I remember my mother’s prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to my all my life.
Being a mother of nine children with limited resources to spend, she proved herself as a mother with remarkable resilience and wisdom to raise her siblings, to be successful in their lives. She was the best educator with out having education.
She had such a strong magnet in her personality that was equally love and desired by all age group. She was cheerful company to kids, jolly company to grownups.
My mother for me was, a truest friend I ever had. When ever I trialed heavy and sudden, she fell upon me; when friends who rejoiced with me deserted; when ever trouble thickened around me, still was she who clung to me, and endeavored with her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to my heart. Though not knowing how will I be surviving hard time when she is not around to motivate me, to encourage me but still I cherish my firm belief that she will be guarding me from heaven through her prayers always...
The mother who loved
The mother who cared
The mother who helped
The mother who worried
The mother who was with me through it all
The mother who raised me to be who and what I am
The mother who encouraged me
The mother who encouraged me
The mother who worked hard for me
The mother who sacrificed
The mother who was here for me
The mother who was here for me
The mother who had lived all years for me
The mother who was surviving for me
The mother who was every where
The mother who was kind
The mother who was every where
The mother who was kind
The mother who was warm hearted
The mother who was super woman
And
Mother the candle burn herself to light our life
Mother the other name of kindness
Mother who hold us nine month and suffer
Mother who feed us from her blood and milk
Mother stays sleepless all the nights holding us
Mother teach us how to walk and talk
Mother guides us and secures us
Mother loves us from start to end
Mother is mother no one can take her place

Who Will Save us
WHO WILL SAVE US….
Existence of any civilizations, races or geographically built boundaries, depends upon incessant struggle for long time by its people. It is norm of every successful country to have a group of dedicated, honest role models known as people’s leaders to lead and rest of nation to follow them with same zeal. This equation brings justice, strength and prosperity but if this equation gets imbalanced due to any of the two or both, leaders or people then country as a whole is pushed to debacle.
There are several examples we read in history about ancient civilizations or countries which were once the strongest powers enjoying peace, prosperity and might but they are non-existent now, the only reason inferred is that both the leaders or the people disturbed the balance of equation while becoming corrupt, wicked, dishonest to each other, and as a consequences, the country or nation vanished, only to be found in history books.
Leaders are selfish, their all the priorities rest either with their political party’s interests or with their individual interests. They are always contriving to raise their bank accounts, increase their assets and their lust has no end.
People or common man is also not angel; majority of us is also selfish, and corrupt, excluding small minority who is always steadfast in their morality. One can easily discern while observing one’s daily life, from head of any department to the peon, from gigantic businessman to small shop keeper, you will see examples of cheating, dishonesty with each other.
The most tragic part of all this immorality, prevailing in both essentials of the equation; leaders and people, is that none of the two considers one’s wrong doings a wrong doing. We have lost our sense of repent and the feelings of guilt. We have become clever enough to change the definition of dishonesty or corruption while giving false meaning to our wrong doings as now people in power commit corruption to accomplish one’s genuine task as per rules. For example, one qualifies for electricity connection on merit, the concern person in authority will take bribe to approve, therefore corrupt person comforts his conscious while saying that he did the lawful act and did not deprive the deserving of his right. Now how will we correct ourselves from corrupt to noble when we do not even believe that we are corrupt?
The most horrible aspect is that we are proudly passing this devastating evil on to our next generations. Now we are not ashamed of doing corruption, so don’t feel any need to hide it from our kids, rather we serves them as an institute to learn to be corrupt. Son of a corrupt politician also becomes corrupt politician even at higher scale and it applies to every profession, though it is government employment in any department, businessman, services rendering professions etc.
